The AANS/CNS Pediatric Section is committed to promoting the education and training of interested young neurosurgeons from around the world. The Section receives many queries from U.S. and Canadians neurosurgery residents, as well as from international residents and fully trained young neurosurgeons who are interested in seeking exposure to various aspects of pediatric neurosurgery. While some of these applicants are interested in training at particular high visibility programs, many others are unaware of the various options that may be available and do not know whom to contact. The Section would like to give your program the opportunity to participate in training these applicants, and as such, is willing to publish information about the various interested programs on its website.
If you would like your information published, please provide an outline about your program as requested on the attached standard form and email it to the chair of the Training Subcommittee, David Sandberg at David.I.Sandberg@uth.tmc.edu. The information should include a statement discussing the clinical and research strengths of the program, and indicate that you would be willing to host a North American (1 month) and/or International Fellow (3 months) for the duration of the fellowship. There is no financial obligation for the host department, as the stipend provided by the Section should cover the fellow’s expenses. The application is available for download below.
