The annual Pediatric Section Grant is a $10,000 research grant opportunity specifically targeted to incoming fellows OR those who will be entering into their first year of pediatric neurosurgical practice.

The objective of this grant is to stimulate mentorship and support new pediatric neurosurgeons seeking to build research careers. Proposals should have a clear pediatric neurosurgical focus and include background, specific aims, methodology and approach. Please also include a budget and NIH-style biosketch. The body of the proposal should total no more than 2 pages. Clinical and/or laboratory studies are welcome. Please note the award does not provide funds for indirect costs.

The due date for applications is April 1. The successful proposal will be announced by June 1st for an award period from July 1-June 30.
